Can a 4-day workweek work? That’s exactly what we want to find out over the next 6 months. Almost 90% of our full-time employees have anonymously expressed their desire to test the 4-day workweek model from April 2023 through September 2023.

We want to meet the need of many of our colleagues for a better work-life balance and we also see the possibility of increased productivity with longer rest and reduced working hours while maintaining the same enthusiasm and motivation for work.

To achieve this, we are reducing the weekly working hours from 40 to 36 hours at full pay for our full-time employees (this applies accordingly to our part-time employees). The office will be closed on Fridays.

You can find an interview on the topic with our colleagues Lars Thiess and Marlene Schreiber at (https://www.lto.de/karriere/im-job/stories/detail/interview-vier-tage-woche-kanzlei-anwaelte-work-life-balance-new-work) (in German).

At the end of the test period, we will evaluate whether the 4-day workweek has had the desired effect and decide whether we want to keep a 4-day workweek in the long term.
