The handbook “Data and privacy protection in the employment relationship” has just been published. It offers practical guidance on legal issues relating to employee data, personal rights and the data protection-compliant handling of information in everyday working life.
Our partner Christian Willert is the author of three chapters of the book. In it, he sheds light on key topics at the interface of labour law, data protection and IT:
-
The employee’s right to lodge a complaint
-
Data retention after termination of the employment relationship (deletion obligations vs. retention obligations, Section 35 III BDSG)
-
Outsourcing of IT services
The articles show how companies can set up legally compliant processes – for example, for the handling of complaints, for deletion and retention concepts after employees leave the company and for the contractual and organisational design of IT outsourcing.
