Marlene Schreiber has been a lawyer since 2012 and a specialist lawyer for IT law since 2019. She studied law at the University of Potsdam, specialising in media law, completed her legal clerkship in Berlin and gained practical experience at one of South Africa’s largest commercial law firms.
She advises clients on IT and data protection law issues – in particular in the area of new technologies and artificial intelligence – as well as on contract drafting and regulatory requirements of digital platforms. She has been a partner at HÄRTING Rechtsanwälte since 2020.
She has received numerous awards for her expertise, including “Lawyer of the Year” in IT law in 2023 (Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers) and “Top Lawyer in IT Law” in 2025 (WirtschaftsWoche). She has been regularly listed in the Best Lawyers Ranking since 2020, most recently also for data protection and technology information law. WirtschaftsWoche has also listed her as a highly recommended lawyer in IT law since 2023.
