Episode 26 härting.fm is a tough one: Martin Schirmbacher and Marlene Schreiber speak to two friends and colleagues from Ukraine on how they are doing and how legal work is currently been done.

In this Episode

Oleksiy heads the IT/TMT industry group of Baker McKenzie in Kyiv and Nazar is the CEO of one of the largest independent law firms in Ukraine: Sayenko Kharenko. We have known and worked with both of them for years. Oleksiy has long been attending INTA events and Nazar is currently Vice Chair of the Technology Law Committee of the IBA.
In this episode we are not talking trademarks and patents or cybersecurity and M&A in Tech. We are talking about the Russian war in Ukraine. Both colleagues are telling us about personal experiences with the aggression. Oleksiy had just returned from Bucha. Nazar has friends who barely escaped the Russian army.
And we talk about how to keep a law firm running; how to keep the people positive; how to keep the economy working – in times of war.
We speak about the charitable work both of them lead and their firms participate in. And also how listeners – how you – can help.
