Switzerland understands “digital / technological sovereignty” in a narrow, state-centred way. The core concern is that the Confederation has sufficient control and ability to act in the digital space to perform
its public tasks. The broader role of the private sector and society is addressed mainly within the “Digital Switzerland Strategy,” not as independent holders of “sovereignty.”
